In July of 2018, Patriot Construction and LeBlanc Marine LLC merged forces. Patriot Construction and Industrial believes that the merge with LeBlanc Marine provides Patriot Construction access to a greater number of resources in order to increase our scope of services to our customers, while still being able to provide the quality of service that the customers have come to expect from LeBlanc Marine since 2004.
Patriot Construction and Industrial’s Marine Division, formerly known as LeBlanc Marine, was founded in 2004 by Ben LeBlanc. The Marine Division is strategically placed at the Port of Iberia, which is located in South Louisiana between New Orleans and Houston, TX, and is home to one of the state’s busiest industrial and manufacturing sites of oil and gas fabrication and production. 

Patriot Construction’s Marine Division specializes in barge towing and shifting, barge fleeting, barge repair and inspection, cargo handling, barge cleaning and special marine projects such as coastal restoration and construction throughout the Gulf South.

BARGE SERVICES

Barge Cleaning

  • Common commodities cleaned include barite, fertilizer, grain, dunnage, and cement. This is not an exclusive list, and more information on permitted commodities is available on request.
  • Hydro-blasting services are available for difficult to clean commodities, such as cement.
  • Mobile cleaning is available the salt mines in the area, which include Weeks Island, Avery Island, and Cote Blanche Island.

Barge Repair

  • Top-side and bottom-side repairs to hopper, deck, and spud barges.
  • Services include, but are not limited to: pumping and shingling, re-crowning of steel covers, fiberglass repair on covers, insert and lap patches, and hopper fractures.
  • Repairs can be made dockside at our Port of Iberia, or we have repair boats that can be dispatched to handle minor repairs.
  • We have a large fleet of material handling equipment that can handle commodity transferring, lightening, and leveling.

Barge Fleeting

  • Our Port of Iberia facility is capable of fleeting up to 50 barges of various size/types, including hopper barges, deck barges, spud barges, and equipment barges.

Barge Towing & Shifting

  • Patriot Construction provides towing and shifting services to local salt mines, pipe yards and several other businesses in the Port of Iberia area and beyond.

MATERIAL HANDLING
Patriot Construction provides dry cargo handling at its Port of Iberia Facility. Patriot Construction’s services include but are not limited to, barge to truck, truck to barge, barge to facility storage area, and barge to bare. Patriot also provides these services through the inland waterways of the Gulf South.
